I need some advice on where to go with my legacy, I'm fairly sure I want it lower (at least until I reach the higher mileage) but other than that I don't know what to do. I have a 1999 L 30th anniversary edition with an ej22 motor. I'd love me some tips on what to do other than wheels, tint, and suspesion. Thanks guys :laughing5: :colors: :smt037 :smt045

Hi! Lovely Legacy. I like the blend of different exterior bits from that generation.

Is it a manual transmission? A big thing you can do it increase the fun factor with a stick is the replace the shifter stay bushings with Cobb or Kartboy bits. It really helps firm up the base of the shifter and make everything crisper. You can also look at doing the rear diff bushings (gets rid of that off-throttle jerkiness and the clunk on hard shifts), and possibly GroupN mounts for the transmission and engine.

Aside from lowering, a rear swaybar will make a world of difference in terms of how it feels through the corners. You may want to hold off on that until after winter though, because it does increase oversteer and can be a bit sudden on slippery surfaces (I see your in a climate zone where you get lots of snow/ice).

I'd also recommend winter tires if you don't have any already - a must in mountainous areas that get snow.

I thought the outback bumper looked more aggressive, and I mean what subaru owner doesn't want a hood scoop ;) Unfortunately its an auto :/ I wish it was a stick but I found it at auction with a measly 90k on the ej22 and simply could let it go. Winter tires are definetly on the way, probably going to get those either by the end of the month or beginning of next.

I was thinking of getting one made, but decided against it. Rather just stick with my MCM decal, otherwise people will think I'm possibly doing the same build lol

When I originally bought the car I was going to do the same build. But now I'm thinking I'll do either a wrx or sti swap instead of a turboed h6. It's just to much custom fab that I don't have the resources to do, or really the skill set.
