Wondering what parts I can run to get the widest track width and not encounter problems.

The car is a 99 legacy outback 5mt, Staying stock ride height or maybe 2 inches taller maximum.

I have an 2004 canadian STI Spec C Front subframe for turbo purposes. (from my understanding wrx/sti subframes are different from legacy ss subframes in some ways?)

looking to get some aluminum control arms: jdm gc sti, usdm forester? or usdm gd sti(the caster improving ones??)

Also wanting to upgrading to a better ratio steering rack as the outback ones are trash. 2004 usdm sti ones bolt in? or is the linkage to column different.

at this point i'm assuming aftermarket sti swaybars will bolt in so probably gonna be using one of those.

Sorry for the mess of the thread, have seen a lot of conflicting info regarding this stuff on the internet.

Thanks, dyno.

Dude. Same. I'm about to buy an 04 STI rack and I hope its a direct bolt in. If not I'll make it work

was just looking this up the other day after someone posted about quicker ratio racks earlier

this thread might help show you the difference between the mounting but not sure of the steering shaft u-joint

and if you can, go with the caster adding arms
