02 wrx swap to 99 legacy

About to start the project for my 99 legacy to get everything swapped over, now I'm wanting to swap the dash over and right now my biggest concern is fitment issues? I've seen pictures of 3rd gens with the gaps on the side, i know im going to have the same gaps at the pillars but curious if anyone else had any other fitment issues?

not trying to highjack the thread but i'm trying to figure out how to put an 02 wrx 5sp in my 99 lgt the slave styles are different and it needs some parts to work but i can't get a clear answer from anyone on what parts are needed to make it work in my car. i am a autobody not a mech.
