Hey all,
My Mazda3 just got written off and I'm considering a used Legacy Wagon as a replacement.
I've found an 04 Black Wagon here (http://www.trader.ca/powerpage/details.aspx?vlotid=474887&adid=5270461) and was wondering if anyone thought this is reasonably priced?
What sort of lifetime mileage can I expect to get out of an '04?
Any help would be great,
Thanks

Welcome
Subaru's run forever, as long as you take care of it.
Is that Canadian dollars? If so, thats not bad for an 04. The 87,000 km (54,000 miles) is kinda rough IMO for an 04 but it should run for a long long time.

Also interested whether thats in loonies or not. Thats alot of miles for a two year old car. 12k miles a year is the norm, so for a 2004 you'd expect 36k (since the year model is always one year ahead of production). However, they are nice vehicles. Is there a reason you are going with an 04 wagon, as opposed to an 05 with the updated look? Or possibly a newer impreza wagon?

Heh, that's not high mileage, my 04 work van has 145,000+ miles on it. :D
50,000 on a Subaru is barely broken in. As long as it was reasonably maintained, I wouldn't have any worries.

Or possibly a newer impreza wagon?

concur that mileage doesn't matter much.
mine's at 165k miles, and the engine and drivetrain is still going strong.

Oh I know it'll last, but someone did alot of driving with that car in a short time is my point. Hopefully highway. Its only 2-3 years old.

i don't so much pay attention to milage. if the car is in good shape, and they have a GOOD reason to be selling it, i'm game.
obviously a car that has been babied for 130k is a way better deal than a car that has had the ever-loving crap beaten out of it for 40k.
nah-mean?
