Hey all!

This is one of my first posts on the forum, so I thought I'd introduce myself and my car/truck/thing here. Hopefully I've put it in the right subsection...if not, mods please feel free to move it.

I started way back in the day with a stock 2003 Impreza 2.5 RS. With 40,000 miles on the odo, I decided it would be smart to swap it...may or may not've been the best decision, but the photo below is probably a year before I sold it:

I'm here now because after I sold the bugeye, I had the itch to mod something else. At the time I was a freelance filmmaker that was starting my own automotive video production company. With that in mind, I wanted to mod something that could look as cool at as it did filming (the latter never really worked out).

From this crazy render, I landed some pretty cool sponsors including Cobb and Kicker. We put it on airride and, lets just say that, not everything went according to plan. After a painstaking amount of trial and error with suspension bits, the car sits like this in the summers:

Very interesting. Did you end up removing the subframe spacers to fix some of the geometry issues?

As for the thread, this is more of an introduction, so it moved it there. I hope you do start a properly formatted Members Ride thread, I am very curious on some of the details on this car.

You're talking about the rear ones? Yes, I did...and cut A LOT of the inner wheel well metal that was getting in the way of my stance haha.


As for the thread, this is more of an introduction, so it moved it there. I hope you do start a properly formatted Members Ride thread, I am very curious on some of the details on this car.

Thanks for the move. I'd like to find some time to make a Member's Ride thread for sure...As Muse correctly guessed, this was on Jalopnik's "Worst Car Story" and, since I work for them, I'm pretty busy, but we'll see!

Welcome. Your Baja looks amazing. I looked at that rendering of the slammed baja so many times it's famous. Almost bought a Baja too lol

HAHA! Nice. I actually just got a turbo Baja 5 speed. Mine will be getting a lift though. :)

Cant wait to see a detailed build thread. If you look at any of the links in my sig, they are pretty good templates for doing a MRI thread. ;)

I will try to find time to write up a build thread, but to be honest, I didn't photograph most of the build.

I've built things from rock crawlers to VIP rigs for friends, customers and myself. I respect them all, for the most part. ;) haha

Nice detailed vid by the way. :)
