Hi all! Just found this forum googling.
I bought my Subaru in 2013.
It's a Legacy 2.5 16V TW JTG FW Bi-Fuel 2005, 234k km this week.

Grazie! Thank you! I live in Pecetto Torinese, a small town near Torino. Have you ever been to Italy?

Yes, just once and many years ago. A magical place completely different than what we have in the USA. I hope the driving hasn't changed. I learned very quickly that the gas pedal has only two positions; full on and full off. The first day there we stopped at a small town restaurant for lunch. The entire restaurant was watching Formula one, actually watching Ferrari winning the race. Later that day I couldn't shake off a teenage girl in a Fiat while driving our Alfa rental car up a winding road to the bed & breakfast. I learned the methods after a few days. Another memory is the way the motorbikes pass. They would get alongside the rear fender, close enough to touch, and so the pass was very fast when they had an opening. Keeping up with a big Mercedes on the autostrada doing 200 kph was entertaining. Years later I drove in the south of France but it paled by comparison. Of course, most Americans drive like cows. Yes, I hope it's all the same in Italy.

To answer your question, we stayed in Pelago west of Firenze for a few days. Saw Sienna and then to Santa Margherita for a week. What beautiful places. Everyone should visit Italy and I envy you for living there. Some day we hope to return.

Please share your car history and tell us about Pecetto Torinese!

Hi there! Well... My Legacy is a 2nd hand car and my first subaru. A bought it because a friends of mine told me about the exelent feeling he had whit his four subaru ( 2 forester , 1 legacy, 1 outback ). I was looking into a awd traction after 8 year with a land rover discovery. The Legacy is still oem and full optional. In Italy We pay a tax called " bollo " about the power of the car we own that it's quite expensive in this case but Lpg sistems pay less and this is why my car it's Bi-fuel.
Next week i'll stop it because i need to replace the timing belt. I drive 30/35k km that in europe it's a medium/hight mileage but whit this car i could do the double of km whit no stress!

Next time pics! And my English is not good as i would like so be patient and help me sometimes ;-)

Have a nice week-end you all.

Dont worry about how good or bad your English is. We are pretty cool about that since we do have members from all over the world. ;)
