Corazon BASIC Axle-Back on BE Sedan. Sound/video clips.

I recently bought this exhaust used off of Ebay from JHOT Imports. It seemed like a nice deal for a dirty but functional axle back that from the sound clips on the site, was pretty good. It has a little twisted set of fins in center of the pipe, midway through the exhaust, on a brighter day I'll try and capture them. According to the site, they enhance the boxer sound. Keep in mind I have a Borla header and stock center section.

Sounds pretty good. Was it a direct fit? Or did it require som modding?

Required modding. Just holding it up, after it goes under the rear lower control arm, the stock exhaust heads to the drivers side to bend around the diff. This one didn't bend enough and wouldn't clear.

Strange as I though the diffs would be very similar. This also had mammoth 2.5" piping, unlike the auction listed. It dwarfs the stock exhaust, its quite funny.

Keep an eye on JHOT off Ebay. They went through probably 8 different BD chassis axle backs at this price. Some were HKS Canister style, others were like mine. At $40 you can't be a real quality product that just needs cleanup.

What did it cost you to put on and did you notice any performance difference?

$80 CAD to fab up the new hangers needed for the BE, and to weld the pipe onto the stock size ( big gap to fill ). Its a little sloppy as I plan to go back and replace the whole center section, but it serves its purpose.

Its definitly a bit peppy'r, as I think its letting the Borla breath a little easier. On its own I don't think it would mean too much outside of sound. The burble is so low it almost seems like you're going slower, because at 60km/hr its burbling so slowly.
