Just joined and first post. Currently own several subies: 97 BD 2.5GT, 02 GD RS, 02 GD WRX, 09 BL Limited, 16 BN Limited. I learned to work on subies from a good friend (Jeff) who used to be a Subaru tech and moved to Idaho. Since that time I got several headgasket changes, clutch replacements, and wheel bearing replacements on my cars, not to mention regular maintenance (oil changes, rad replacements, brake replacements, etc).

Current project is putting a new (to me) engine into my 97 BD 2.5 GT. I bought the car for my son and last May (2015), I spun a bearing. Oil sheared as I was pushing too hard-living too fast when i was returning to MD from NC. Just picked up a EJ22 and going to take the 25D DOHC heads and mate them to the EJ22 shortblock.

Have been lurking for a little while without registering and have found this forum to be treasure trove of subie information.

Cheers

Courtney

Thank you very much for saying that! That's what our goal is here.
Welcome to the forum and as was said earlier- we have a lot of MD/PA members on here, so the possibility of meets is higher.

Welcome. I am MD myself. I have a 98 wagon and an 09 3.0R limited. Hinyo, Rubie_25GT, SelfishBlue, and kcowles are also from MD. We all get together fairly frequently with Maryland Subaru Club on Facebook.

Nice to see someone new! If it says anything about how much I like the people here, I try and make it from West Coast to East Coast once a year for the MD meet. Love the people here. :)

Welcome! Another southern PAer here. I was running the EJ22e swap for a while in my 98, it runs well, didn't have any problem other than lack of low end grunt
