It's good to be home again.

I've been away for a good long time. As some of you recall, I wrote the Subaru magazine for our forum and I'm also a gamer.

Things wrapped up with me here about 3 years ago, as I started getting busier and busier at work. I had less and less time to write the magazine, so it's been in the freezer ever since.

Hoping you guys are great, and looking forward to seeing what everyone has been up to lately...

Hey peugoby! Good to see a familiar face.

The past 3 years have been an adventure. I've worked for different companies as a software developer, I wrote my own Android app, and I'm looking to get involved with some cool technology in the future.

I'm still a Subaru enthusiast. I might actually start the members rides magazine back up again, but I need to find an easier way of writing articles (or how I'm going to host everything). I still have hard copies of the issues I wrote, but they were a pain to lay out. I've also debated the idea of starting a YouTube deal where I talk about the car reviews, magazine, website, and so on.

To the best of my knowledge, there STILL hasn't been a official in-print Subaru magazine on shelves since Subiesport bit it.

Subaru now has their own official magazine called "Drive" and "Drive Performance", but they are free publications, not sold on newsstands.

As for hosting, if you need file hosting (or something similar), please let me know, and I will hook you up with something on the SL-i servers.

Hey Dead,

I've been thinking about the magazine off and on for some time (basically, ever since I had to shelve it). Even though the layouts were getting annoying, it still was one of the coolest things I did (besides the Forza Invitational :) ).

That said, currently trying to get a job right now. If things work out, I would like to start the mag back up.

MAN! I take quite a while to get "back" in the game, don't I? :wave:

So... erm... I guess an explanation is in order? Ah - probably not but I'll give you one anyway.

2013: got busy with work. Real busy. Started to not have brain power enough for the mag. It went in the fridge.

2016: Was trying to get the creative juices flowing... some not-so-nice life stuff happened. That got shot down.

2019: Peeking my head back above water... again...

All things considered, still interested in Subarus even after being away from the magazine for - yikes, 6 years?!?!

Think I'll take it slowly this time and see how things work. With that said, I *will* log back into my online account and see if maybe I can make those hosted pics come back if some hid or are inaccessible.

In between then and now, I've made some new friends (and had a few ones pass away). I've also become part one or two new communities... but this one still keeps calling to me.

So... hey... I'm back... again. And just like last time... it's good to be back.

How have things been? Looking back, I feel like I rounded a corner in 2013 and then my brain was like "Ooh! Something new!". After that, a whole bunch of stuff happened and now we're in 2021.

Yes, _still_ interested in writing magazine articles. Yes, very much out of the flow in terms of writing. (But many good memories of magazine articles - and apparently there may have been issues with displaying them cuz my hosting might have been over limits? Fixed that so all past issues should be available).

At any rate - again (again again?), good to stop in.
