So my car is in the shop getting some work done because I neglected it for six years in storage. While on the lift the mechanic was inspecting before he started he found an issue. The rear swaybar mount is coming off from the body.

Does anyone know if this will work? I don't remember what the underside looks like.

Don't think so.. BE/BH rear mounts have a drop-down flange from the body and the mounts are a simple pipe-strap type arrangement with horizontal facing bolts..

I suspect you've munted the flange

Sweet. Thanks. Now that I can see how it goes together again. Been 7 years since I looked at the underside. I have ideas how to get it fixed.

Yea, the swaybar connects to tabs on the subframe. If the subframe is rotting away, you probably should replace the whole assembly. The 2000-2001 subframes were not properly coated to prevent rust during manufacture, but the 2002-2004 frames are.

That said, if the subframe is rotted, the 4 subframe bolts are probably not in great shape.. and will be quite difficult to remove without sheering them off.
