Just like the title says, just here looking to connect. Honestly, been here for probably 4 years and just farmed for info, sorry, nature of the internet. Just started looking into doing a digital climate control on my car and found my way back here, figured I should forgo the FB scene and see what the forums have to offer. Anywho, here's the background; had a 02 bugeye WRB back in high school, always loved the car, hated the insurance on it, sold the car to go to school in Cali. Missed Subaru's and built a few in Cali at school and devised a plan to build my favorite gen legacy into a boosted beauty. looked for almost 4 years for a good shell, even flew to Florida for a shitty, misrepresented rusted example at one point. Eventually, I found my shell in a field, by our local gay bar (joy) with 4 flat tires, HG leaks and a burn out clutch. I purchased it with much difficulty involving a bank, a lein, and a tow truck headed down state with it. Did I pay too much? probably, but it didnt have rust and was a 2002 Legact GT limited, with the cold weather package in a manual trans, the exact car I had been looking for. I had a V3 sti clip shipped in the same week, swapped and merged everything, and drove a ridiculous car for almost 8 months. I blew the EJ20K up in a flat spin of furry like most fuckasses, i regret it, kinda, but i ordered a EJ207 after that. V7 you say?!?! fuck no, V5 OBD1 FTW. No seriously, shit went wrong and I ended up wit something I didnt order and a company that didnt care. In the V5 went because I needed a motor, car was down and doing no good. I was too modded or the merge was that shitty that it never ran quite right on that ECU, so i opted to 02 WRX swap the loom and sensors, this way i could flash tune, run the same engine and just replace a few sensors and reluctor wheels. now, at this point im pretty deep in this damn thing, too deep to go back, plus I enjoy the lack of following in the US for the BE/BH platform. I went pretty much full retard on this build which is silly seeing as this is my winter car, but hey, fuck it. I like to do this type of shit. Thanks for reading this stupid summarization of my Subaru build over the last 5 years. Heres the specs:

Very nice car :)

What hood do you have? The scoop looks bigger than the normal Japanese scooped hood.

Its a custom hood using the scoop from a GR wrx and grafting it in. Its not my original idea, i actually saw someone on this site do it years ago but decided to try my hand at making one. lets see if i can get the pics strait this time...

Welcome! If that's your winter car, I can't wait to see the summer ride. Also, is that your garage? I'm very jealous.

Hell of a car and introduction. Welcome to the forum!

Feel free to start a thread in the Member Rides I section to unload any bit of info or pics you have there. I'm sure plenty of people would like to see your past and continued progression with it.

I've seen you bumping around FB a bit. Been a fan for a while. The hood is well done. ;)

I am digging the fact you have Ohlins on your winter beater!

Nice build man.
