Whats up guys. I have been a bit of a creeper on here for awhile now and figured it was time to introduce myself. My name is Ryan and I spend my winters in Dubai and my summers at home in Canada where I have my BK Wagon. Its the third BK I have owned and the one I have put the most effort into. Below is a list of what I have completed so far and the goals to complete when I get back home later this week.

I have some nice JDM goodies to sell as well to help offset the cost of my build. Need to get my post count up to 25 per the forum rules before I can list things.

The To Do List (parts already acquired):

-Finish my EZ30 Swap I started in the fall before heading overseas for the winter
-Exedy light weight flywheel and 06 WRX clutch kit
-Install the JDM goodies I picked up in Tokyo on two separate trips to Japan this winter (UpGarage is the shit)
-Brand new Juran adjustable struts and HKS springs
-Ap Suretrac torsen rear LSD
-Mines front upper (or possibly STI Carbon but its heavier then the Mines and has pivot points), Cusco rear upper, and Cusco lower front "H" strut bars
-Mines VX Exhaust
-JDM Projector headlights and fogs to complete my JDM light package
-Syms Oil, Brake and Clutch caps
-Hippo Sleek or RFRB grill which ever I don't use will be listed for sale
-Unknown brand JDM side skirts (hopefully I can get them back to Canada in one piece)
-STI Aluminum front control arms
-Mines 240 KM/H speedo or Black Faced BH cluster if I have some extra, extra time
-BG5 Limited stainless door scuff plates
-JDM flush door guards
-Re-Tint my front and hatch windows
-STI Transmission mount
-Subaru 2 pot rears with vented rotors
-ARC rear sway bar
-Syms grounding kit
-Syms H6 ECU
-Syms SRW-C1 17-inch wheels (7.5KG each/16ish lbs)

Parts I would like to source:
-WRX pedal set
-06/07 WRX Master Cylinder
-BG5 Limited front bumper
-Some summer rubber for the SYms wheels
-Rear sway bar links
-OBX H6 Header

Mods already done:
-Full 04 WRX interior and 02 WRX steering wheel.
-Fully soundproofed with DynaMat equivalent (this took some serious effort to complete but made a huge difference to the driving experience)
-GT Hood
-JDM side markers, tail lights, centre garnish, centre shifter surround and rain guards
-JDM 4 Pots and WRX drilled rotors in the front and H6 rears with stainless lines all the way around
-Poly shifter bushings and Ebay Short Shifter
-Grimmspeed Master Cylinder Brace
-Outback 18mm rear sway bar
-Subaru single din electronic compass. Had to make my own harness for it and its a little dated, but I like it.
-Colour matched mirrors
-Six spoke Impreza RS wheels to clear the 4 pots. (I have a set of the older 5 spokes as well but haven't put them on yet to see how they look)
-Factory Spoiler

Pick from last year, sold those Enkeis. I had picked them up as I needed something to clear the 4 pots up front but have since switched to a set of the 6 spoke 16" Impreza RS wheels from 2000-2001

Welcome, those seats look nice in there.

I've been to Dubai a couple of time myself, interesting place with lots to see. Have you looked around for Subaru part sources there? I've always wondered if they install oversized radiators out there, and where I could pick one up on a trip out there. Those nice thick radiators they run in the desert could be handy.

I used to go to UAE every year since 1994. My sister family (husband and kid's) used to live in Abu Dhabi. I was just in Dubai with my wife couple of years ago (wife first time). We stayed at the Ritz Carlton in JBR. I also been to Canada few times and planing to take my wife for the first time as well this year or next year.

Thanks for the compliment on the seats.

Most of the cars sold into the market here in Dubai regardless of the manufacturer are whats called Gulf Spec. It usually consists of more insulation in the car, a better radiator and better AC setup. Temps routinely get to 50c (122F) here in the summer (its not fun). I haven't looked in to scooby parts here other then pulling one or two things off an EU spec BK (ultra rare car here) that a guy was scrapping. Subarus here are either BRZ's or STi's, which there are a ton of or a handful of new Foresters, Legacys, and Tribecas that you see the odd time.

What brought you through Dubai?

I am more partial to Dubai then Abu Dhabi. They are both nice cities, but like you mentioned a lot more to do in Dubai. JBR is a nice area and a good place to go car spotting on a Thursday or Friday night if you are into exotics.
What part of Canada where you thinking about visiting? BC is my favourite followed by Newfoundland on the other side.

What brought you through Dubai?

I've been to Dubai a couple of times for work, and I'll be going a couple more times over the next couple of years. Next time, I am going to take some time and go checkout Abu Dhabi. The last time I went I went down to Oman and then back up through Al Ain, it really is a pretty sweet part of the world to visit, but yeah, it gets hot. The hottest I've seen on my trips was at the end of May once and it got to 115°F, I can't imagine what August is like!

Awesome work! Feel free to post up in the Members' Rides I section for your build log! It's a lot easier to keep track of stuff there, haha.

Yep, you'll want to make an MR1 thread. Intros are for intros. MR1 threads are for historical accuracy ;)
