Hey guys just did this little mod today,

https://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/imported/2006/09/PICT0016-1.jpg Turned out ok... The ring doesn't quite fit as flush as I was hoping, I couldn't figure out a way to REALLY attach the ring to the stock legacy plastic trim piece. I had to cut the factory plastic trim to fit the sti trim ring. It barely fits but I am satisfied! I glued the pleather boot to the factory plastic, then went and got some longer bolts at the hardware store that screw in with an allen wrench, also 6 nuts and 6 washers. Simply poked holes in the pleather and then bolted it in. Now I just need to lower the shifter rod a little bit. The Prodrive knob actually makes it even higher up. :-?

Hey thanks, i'll try to do that tomorrow... I didn't wanna show my stereo in the pic cause I haven't fixed what the dude who installed it did yet. Which is not find a din for it and stuck some gay ass lil thin plastic piece in there so it looks kinda funky.

Nice work. Can I get a measurement on that trim piece? I don't know if it would fit on my BK.

I could only find a 6" ruler... The top part is the widest part of the trim ring at just under 6" the length from front to back is about 6" and the width of the back of the trim ring, torwards the e-brake is about 5"

I really like it. You said its kind of hack, but it looks great in the photos.
