It's also 80 degrees outside with 100% humidity. I'll be damned if I am going out there.

The light bothers my eyes too...due to my migranes. I like the indoors very much.

I like it so much that I moved all the kids toys into the house. (I really bought them to put in the house) In their room they have a pirate ship and a play house with slide and rockwall. Not to mention a firetruck and racecar bed, and a million toys.

The paint is from Krylon. It is made to paint plastic. I actually painted my sons powerwheels quad and I had some blue left over. I have no intentions of busting out any loom (split channel plastic used in automotive applications..your ECU harness is wrapped in it) or silicone.

The parts I painted were off my rust free 90 that I stripped so they were in much better shape. Yall need to understand that I bought the car not too long ago and have maybe put 20 miles on it. I have a 99 altima that the wife and I kick around.

There is a bunch of work I want to do to the LS before making here a true DD. I don't put the Nismo in my Sig because I choose not to be laughed at.

It is my goal to replace all the rusted parts on this vehicle. Thanks for the props guys!

Windshield wiper fluid reservoir. That'd be ill-to-the-hizz-ill.

Personally, I would have left it at the fuel filter and the strut caps The bright blue cowl thing looks like the top to a lawn mower... I'd concentrate on getting the rest of the engine back to black, and not do anything else blue.

The air hose actually looks kind of cool. I still say you should make some things a richer black, and a richer aluminum, make the whole thing come alive.

Yall ain't seen nothing yet. I'm going to be doing some serious fabbing and painting over the next few months. I am also going to try and replace all the rusted parts, such as the battery hold down bracket, clamps...bolts, screws.

I have a friend that owns an automotive custom shop and he has a large array of plating machines so I think I might chrome plate all the bolts, screws and clamps.

I can't say I want to paint anything on the inside of the vehicle as I did that once and I got tired of it real quick.

As for the Krylon paint being hi-temp, I checked the can and it said nothing about it. On the safe side I would say no. It is made for plastic but can also be used on all other surfaces. It advertises itself as "no-prep" so it needs no primer. I will say it does come out of the can VERY thick.

You know, I was joking about the windshield washer fluid reservoir, but I don't think I am anymore. I think it'd be cool if you painted the top of it black, then used spray tint towards the bottom to darken it. It'll look black when its full of fluid, but when it drops, you'll see through the tint a little, and that's when you know you're low. The white plastic sticks out like a sore thumb.

I wouldn't mind painting the entire W/W res black or maybe black with blue ricing strips or vice versa. I have a nicer (newer) P/S pump in the garage that I might paint up. I was thinking of making the pulley blue and the pump a sweet glossy black. The clutch on the new A/C comp is going to get the same treatment. Did I mention that I have (2) like new cooling fans from my old legacy that might get blue blades and gloss black shrouds?

I'm always interested in hearing what people have to say....

I think I might clean the battery real well and get a new tie down so I can paint it blue. I think I am going to bust out the pressure washer when I get back from wal-mart in a bit. Hopefully the paint has cured enough so that if I hit it by accident it doesn't chip off.

Why not wait a few days before doing the washing? Fixing mistakes can be harder than doing the job in the first place.

Also, I'd try and and find out what kind of changes the paint makes to the plastic. I think the fan blades need to be able to flex a little. If the paint makes them more hard/brittle, then it wouldn't be a good idea. Not on a vital component like the fans.

I think it is specialy made for plastic so it does have a little "give" to it. Besides, I figure the paint would chip before the blade would break. But then again I'm not a bio-chemist.

I think I will wait a few days before presure cleaning anything. The FL sun should bake all that stuff very well sitting in the driveway.

The point was to go crazy....under the hood. There will be no painting of anything in the interior. Even the fiberglass box will be covered in Tweed to match the tan carpet.

I have no intentions of pulling up at a car show and going "hey!! Look at this!" I would be the laughing stock. I just wanted to kill some time and change out some parts under the hood from my old car.
