Looking to get this.. but my question is, in the picture of the blue subaru.. where's the MAF supposed to be? and also it says "Models NOT equipped with a Air Mass Meter" .. i got a '99 LGT..

It's for a MAP sensor. You could modify it to work with a MAF, but it'd take some cutting and a 3" silicone sleeve.

So would you say it would be feasible to get it.. and does a CAI really make all that much of a difference or should I just stick to one of those regular short ram ones?

This one also comes with all 3 vacuum lines already welded onto the intake!!

and and.. what about water? should i be concerned?

If you're going to get a "generic" Ebay CAI, don't pay that much for the Cosmo intake. Search for a buyer named Bomb Effect. They had short Rams and CAI in multiple colored piping for under $ 20 and 30 respectively.

Oh, here's a link to the short ram. He's got 10 up from time to time, but the CAI's are harder to find.

From my understanding the Impreza NA 2.5 is the same as our Legacy ( across my 00-04 years anyways ).

That's awesome, but I'm in canada and his shipping charge is $50 USD by UPS.. and UPS will charge about $50 in brokerage fees, so in the end, I'll end up paying almost $130 CAN (with conversion and what not) whereas I spend a little more and get that Cosmo cold air rather than the short ram.. =\

you should ask for usps shipping. UPS majorly screws canada, but I shipped a short throw to quebec for $4 insured (3day shipping) through the post office. He could probably manage it.

That's awfully expensive for a non name brand intake (ex. Injen, AEM, K&N, etc.).

Be careful with Cosmo. Here's a thread from the 'ol Hyundai forum I used to visit: http://www.hyundaiperformance.com/forum ... hp?t=64556 (http://www.hyundaiperformance.com/forums/topic.php?t=64556)
It's entitled "fuck cosmo racing"...

Yikes! Thanks for the info, and I think I'll stay away! I'll look for something name brand cause i want CAI, not the short ram.. call me picky!

DEPENDS ON THE INTAKE TYPE: MAF or MAP!

The 2.5RS had the same engine - had the same variations on intakes also.

No problem yet with my eBay intake... Performs fine.
Any more money spent is a waste IMO...
I've got an AEM DryFlow filter on the end of it now, instead of that eBay filter...
