My formal introduction, a BD + a BK

Hello fellow SL-i'ers,
I have been frequencing the board for quite sometime now. I thought it was finally time to become a member.
My own Legacy is a 1995 Subaru Legacy L BD sedan, with a 5 speed manual tranny, AWD, and the mighty 2.2l engine. I have put about 7,000 miles on it since I bought it. Its a great car, just hit 160k a couple weeks ago. The paint is in pristine condition for the age and mileage, the interior is also quite nice. I have recently put a lot of work into it incl. the timing belt, water pump, valve cover gaskets, full tune up, and a set of Cusco shift bushings thrown into her. Theres other miscellanious things I have done- just not coming to mind right now. I am going to replace the clutch very soon as it is on its way out, other than that, the car is meticulate. I drive a lot so I want the car to be in tip-top shape at all times. I wash every 5-6 days, and wax maybe every few weeks. My major upcoming plans for the car are a new rear sway bar, 16" LGT wheels, WRX brakes, JDM tails, side markers, and I've got a L,LS,LSi rear spoiler and LGT skirts waiting to be painted(FUNDS!). That is just the beginning, but should keep me busy for a while.

I bought the car because I loved my Mothers old car so much. We still own it, its a 1995 Subaru Legacy Wagon "L" BK, with an automatic tranny, AWD, and this one does have ABS. Its been in the family since brand new... Its treated us very well over the years. Its got about 136K miles on it. I have had a lot of adventures in this car. That being said, I doubt we will ever sell it. These things are absoluetely insane in the snow... the BG rides on Michelin Hydroedges which I'd highly recommend to anyone as a great all season tire. OK, I am beginning to ramble on. The pictures dont really do my BD much justice, I think it looks a lot nicer in the flesh.

Very nice looking paint...quick tip for taking pics, never take them when the sun is right overhead - you want to use sunrise or sunset, because the car is a HUGE reflective object.

And always shoot from the non-shadow side. :)

Anyway, car looks good. It'll look real sweet with those LGT wheels. In fact, JDM grill/lights, sidemarkers, spoiler and the LGT rims would set it off really well while keeping it a classy looking car.

Yes, I am from the Netherlands. I lived there until I was five, and have lived in Oregon ever since(I'm 20 now). I actually just got back from a trip there less than a week ago. As for that grill it is nice, but I actually think that specific grill would only fit in a 97+ bumper with the bigger opening. Someone I know is selling a JDM grill locally that would fit my bumper for $75 bones. Seems kinda expensive to me, but if others think thats a decent price I might swoop it up.

welcome! I'm also rocking a '95 sedan, same color, with some minor mods and some body work due to ignorance or bad driving...but i digress, '95 owners unite!

I'm pretty sure that all the JDM grills like that are for the older bumper styles. Here's an example of a JDM grill on a newer GT bumper:

The one on the GT bumper from imageshack is different than the one on ebay you sent me a link to.. atleast I'm pretty sure. I know those mesh/honeycomb (like the one from the GT) will fit my bumper, but I'm pretty sure that ebay grill is from a later JDM model that also has the nice big foglights you also always see on ebay. Err, I hope that wasn't too confusing... Somebody I know is selling one locally (honeycomb style)for $75 bucks. Seems expensive, no? Either way I'd love to get my hands on some more JDM items, its just funds that really stand in my way.
