Hey all,

Does anyone wave around Eastern PA in Mongtomery County anymore?

Spied at least 3 wrx/imprezas and several Outbacks/legacies. Most everyone is very straight ahead. I've flashed headlights at a lot of people already in my green BD GT and no responses yet.

I'm about 2 blocks away from you (philly) and NO ONE waves.

I dont get it either, but I still give Subaru's the special treatment out on the roads

Waves are reserved for Porsche drivers and bus drivers. Its just not a subaru thing.

A LOT of the Subaru driver's around here are, and I hate to say it, much older. Like senior citizen old. So I don't think they care too much about seeing another Subaru driver, they're probably more concerned with Consumer Reports giving it a good review. '

Seeing grannies running around in freakin WRX's makes you laugh though

The BD shape isn't widely recognised by the WRX community. Most of them don't understand the older shapes. You'll get more waves from GC's.

Unless your ride is handled and rollin' on JDM wheels, tinted and farting fire.
In which case you'll be waving buh-bye to WRX owners.

Over the last month or so that I've owned the car already I've waved at Outbacks, OBSs, Imprezas, and WRXs. One day I got passed by two WRXs traveling together and both of them looked like they were in the zone... a yellow and a silver one both driving west on route 422 outside of Collegeville PA.

Oh well. I still like the fact that I drive a BD. I almost didn't get one because I had a choice between a 2000 LGT sedan and a 2000 green LGT wagon... but the classic shape won me over (plus the fact that I will never have to perform any additional body mods to make the car look any cooler than it is now).

I guess you could say I regard my BD 2.5GT as a vintage vehicle. It's real great. Too bad I don't see too many other BD 2.5GT drivers around the areas where I live. It would be great to see them!

i always want to wave, but i never know who'll wave back and i don't want to feel like an idiot. it's hard to tell the difference between people who just want a reliable car, and people who are actually enthusiasts.

I think i would rather slam my car into any of these brain defecient morons cruising around Pittsburgh. It would be much more rewarding.

hey, if you ever see me driving around (you'll know by the truck tires and lights) and you give me a wave, you'll get one back.

Theres also the fact that the only other person with a BD that is under 40 is my ol' lady. If I wave at her... she's just going to follow me home.

yeah. there's 3 major give-a-ways on my car that you'll know it's me; the truck tires, the Hellas on the bumper, and there's caution stripes under my gas tank for, as my co-worker put it, mid-air refeuling.
