remove the clamps that hold the hose.... another shoddy fix to a problem. kinda like putting stop leak in the coolant for headgasket problems... I love the car, but SOA is straight cheap when coming up with solutions to their problems

I wouldnt call it a shoddy fix. Its probably removed because it restricts the hose, or the pump causes the hose to vibrate in the clamp. The simplest solution is usually the best.
