Wasn't sure where to put this, so here it goes. Is there a way to drain the power steering? Other than using a turkey baster? I wan't it all out, or most of it anyway.

I disconnected the rail on the side of the motor, disconnected the pump and then I opened it up, tilted it over and poured into a funnel with a catch bottle. Got quite a lot out of it. Once you get most of it out, you could probably uncork a line and get the rest out of the reservoir.

you can unhook the line at the rack. Easier to just have it flushed.

To get it all out you are going to need to flush it like and automatic transmission flush. There is only a little bit of fluid in the reservoir compared to the rest of the system.

I have knocked the line off the pump to drain fluid, then refilled and purged, repeated. Seemed to work well for my needs. All the black fluid was no longer noticable.
