my boss decided to get his van stuck on a steep hill in someones yard on a residential job site today and guess who pulled him out. me and my 1996 legacy BD 2.2. it was awesome, the car did not spin once in the entire time except when i was reallly tugging. it was a chevy work van to give you an idea of what i was pulling.

My dads old GL-Turbo womped ass on pulling. We'd pull other car out in snow storms, haul river rock in the hatch, pull tree stumps out. Subaru's rock.

I had some idiot in a Ford explorer tell me "you don't have enough horsepower" to tow people out. He couldn't find his damn towhooks

Bullshit, let's do that math. 135bhp can move my car up to 60mph in about 10 seconds. The car I was offering to tow out was lighter than my Subaru. I'm pretty sure it has enough power to move another vehicle lighter than itself that's on wheels and can move under its own power once it's been nudged out of the ditch...
