I just got a '97 Legacy Sedan 2.5GT. I found this site after looking up some info on my new ride. This is my first Subaru and I have found out that there is a huge following of loyal Suburu owners out there.

This lil white gal is named "Ellie Mae". She has 116K miles and still purrs like a kitten.

I am looking forward to gettin some tips and tricks for how to make EM even better.

I am going to take a guess here.....White must have been a REALLY popular color for the Legacy...Still, she's a nice ride. I am looking forward to fixin her up.

I got 23mpg on my first tank of gas. That sure beats the 16mpg of my '02 Chevy pickup.

Thanks for all the Welcome Posts. I've been checkin out the DIY section and trying to see what I'll mod first. There is limited funds so the first few projects will have to be minimal. Suggestions welcome.

clear corners (free), polish up those headlights, and interior lighting colour change. These are all in the DIY and only take some time

Another good cheap and easy mod to do, is a lightweight crank pulley. I suggest getting one made by perrin, as they are very good pulleys, and are the same diameter as the stock one.. therefore, not being underdriven and needing new belts and such. Welcome to the world of subaru by the way, hope you enjoy your ride! Is it a MT, or auto btw? Nice car!
