Do magnetic drain plugs really work or even worth it? Where can I get one?

Magnetic as in they have a magnet on the part that sits inside the oil pan, like on the rear diff drain plug?
If that's what you mean, they are very useful as a further guard against particles circulating around your oil/transmission system.
I have no idea where you can get them though, I imagine the stock drain plug is a relatively common size, there must be magnetic universals out there.

Do magnetic drain plugs work? Yes.
Is it worth it? Maybe.
In the rear diff or transmission the fluid stays in there a much longer time so the magnet gets a workout grabbing stuff. Engine oil is replaced so often that you should not find as much junk in the oil and unless you have a problem it should be clean. A car of mine came with one and it never had anything on it.
My oil drain plug does not look to be a standard size, maybe others are.
