Car cover.. any difference between these two?

I've been checking out some car covers for my new 99 legacy GT, and i cant decide what i want to get. I'm pretty much down to these 2 covers, but need your opinion. Basically one of them is for a "99 legacy sedan", and the other, being $20 more, is for a "99 legacy gt".

I thought these cars had the same body, so why the $20 price difference is what i was asking myself.

I think if i bought the sedan one, i would be fine.. but i just wanted to ask and check to see if there was any difference at all. I thought they were the same body style and everything. Let me know! Thanks.

Without pictures you cant tell. I would assume they're the same.. maybe the GT is a little taller to cover the lip? I would go for the cheaper one anyway.

Yea, they are already damn expensive.. i was thinking about going with the cheaper one anyways. The only difference between the GT and the sedan is the lip size? I thought the sedans also had lips? The sedans also have the same sized spoiler correct? Weird that they would charge more for the GT version, probably because it says "GT" in the description, its worth an extra $20 to them.

Im pretty sure its just the lip, but then again I own a pre-facelift L. My first impression when reading your original post was that they're charging an extra 20 because it says GT, I say get the cheaper one.. but you may want to wait for a GT owner to reply with any differences.

I think they must be the same cover.. because there really isnt too much of a difference between a GT and normal 99 legacy sedan.. i dont think. I have the GT version, and it does have the lip, and side skirts, and rear lip.. that may be the only difference. Wonder if its really worth paying the extra $20 for the cover.. hmm.

the lip all around is right. do the L's have the spoiler? i think so, but cannot be sure off the top of my head.

in all honesty, it's probably just a marketing gimmick.

^ yea, because most car covers are a little longer so that they can fit around the edge of the car correct? So maybe if i get the sedan one, it will still fit over the lips anyways.. hmmm, hard decision. really dont wanna spend $148 on a damn car cover tho... sucks, wish i had a garage =[

its another $20.. lol i want to spend as little as possible. cause then i gotta pay for shipping and shit.. so another $20 will actually kinda piss me off. i really hope for $148 tho, its a damn good cover. I think i might still get the sedan cover tho, but i dunno. ugh =/

edit : i found some pics of a guys sedan on here. looks like its got the lips on the front and back, as well as the side skirts?... so does ANYONE know the diff between the GT and sedan?

Okay, so i got an email back from the Kimberly-clark corp which makes the fabirs for the NOAH and Evolution covers. I was going to get a NOAH cover, since it seems like it would be better for all season horrid weather, but this is the email i got :

Does anyone know anything about these covers? I've heard the NOAH covers were better for snow, and really rough conditions, but i've now been told twice that the Evolution covers are better.. which is nice, because they are about $20 cheaper. Anyone know anything? Here is their site :

if the NOAH is OK for "snow and harsh weather conditions", why is "ice/snow" not listed on the pdt info page on their website.

Yea, see thats what i dont get. I've also heard that the "evolution" series of fabric is better for intense sun protection, and that i dont really need. I need something that will be good for a damn blizzard, and heavy snowfall. Seems like the NOAH is better for water protection, not allowing any water in, and the evolution seems to proclaim its good like "sunblock" to protect against harmful UV rays and such. This has me all confused. LOL :mad:


edit: haha yea, by that logic, i should just get a cover for a ford f350! it will cover it 3 times over!! hahaha. :lol:

Why's that? The NOAH is supposed to be better for water, and also all season conditions. Since snow melts and turns into water, it might be better that water not get all over the car and such. I've email a few more people and hopefully i can get some sort of response better than the last one i recived. Also checked out a few more sites, and they too reccomend the NOAH as a better harsh weather cover. The only thing the evolution cover seems to "brag" about is the fact that it is like sunblock to lots of UV rays.. which i dont really care about, since the car will probably be parked in the shade.

I think it might be more important for the water issue, because in the winter, the snow will melt, turn to water, go under the cover, then freeze at night, which could cause damage to the paint if i try to take the cover off and its still cold out. Just my thoughts. Hopefully i can get more info soon.

Yea i saw that.. but it makes me think whoever made that little flash animation just got it wrong / did it to make it look cool. Everything ive read so far says that NOAH are better for snow / ice, and the evolution are better for scratches / dents / sun. I dunno.. lol im gonna keep looking into it. Seems like the block-it.com site is contradictory to what every other site says. I looked at wolf's covers site, and even on their site it says the NOAH is more suitable for snow / ice. Weird. hah.
