my fujitsubo axel back arrived today. tomorrow hopefully if all goes well i will be getting some gaskets and putting her on. everything else will be stock for now until my intake gets here that also could be tomorrow. then later i will run the rest of the exhaust. i just thought you guys would like to know that today was christmas for me, this will be the first exhaust i will have ever gotten for a car in fact this is the only car i have ever modded.

This is the one from ebay right? Does everything bolt up without modification? I've been thinking about getting an STi can, but from what I've read it'll take some modification from a muffler shop. It would be sweet if I could just get a can and bolt it on. I don't really wanna do a full exhaust system and I'm not looking for a lot of noise, so I hope to do just do a muffler.

yea its from ebay. i set it under the car and matched it up as best as possible it looks like it will bolt right up the only thing i wonder about is the size difference,(will i need to do something ot make the two different sized pipes match?), and where will i get gaskets? i was guessing auto zone or something of that sort.

no, what can you do?? just bolt it up and you will want to upgrade the rest soon enough.

i already plan to haha. i just dont have the money yet. i plan on running a stromung mid pipe with a resonator put in. stromung cat and borla headers.

but i could just take of my existing axel back and just bold the new on no problem?

Depends on how easy your old bolts come off, you can do it in 10 mins.

Why would you get a stromung mid pipe and alter it to put a resanator in it?

becuase i have read that it gets raspy without the resonator

I had just a Stromung mid pipe and SPT axle back and it wasn't raspy at all. It was low and sudle.

My Borla was lower and louder. I set off car alarms, now with the Borla knock off it sounds like a mucle car lol go figure.

gosh ill have to have to wait until i can get a mid pipe becasue the flanges on that connect my midpipe and axel back are a solid mass of rust.

so does anyone know somewhere cheaper than boxer4racing to get a stromung mid pipe?

An exhaust shop? They can bend some piping for ya and it probably wouldn't be horribly expensive. Go Stainless steel though, it's worth it. You can always go back and have them put a resonator in later.

I might have a STi can for sale soon, I bought one but I don't know if I can afford to keep it and pay for the installation. :( Nice muffler, I might buy one of those when I can afford it.

Buy a WRX catback and have it fabbed to fit. :D

all i need is the mid pipe though. i wont be doing anything for a while now though. while i was under the car i noticed that both of my front cv axels have blown boots so they are top of my list to be replaced.
