Well, I finally got it all. I needed a clutch so i got a "stage 2" F1 clutch, Fidanza flywheel, and findanza short shifter. The F1 clutch looks like good quality and came with an exedy heavy duty pressure plate (i was happy about that). The findanza 9.5 lb flywheel (lightest on the market for b4 legacy?) looks AMAZING and I can't wait to put it in. The fidanza short shifter works and looks very nice (highly recommended). It was only $50 on ebay on a blowout sale and its a wicked good deal IMO. Very noticable short throws and gets into gears very easily. All I need is $350 to get the flywheel and clutch installed. I have done all the installs myself on my car (except cat back exhaust), but this seems like a professional should do it. Ill be posting pics frequently of the parts and progress if anyones interested.

Sweet! That fidanza is only for the newer model legacy's though (mark has a story with that trial). Why'd you go with the 9.5 vs the 13?

Well, thats what was really available to me, also i figured the lighter the better. Kind of like pulleys. Does that make sense? I thought so, but i could be wrong.

Well, with the flywheel being so light, the revs are going to go up faster, but they're also going to go down faster, so it's going to be a bit tricky to get used to shifting and the possibility of having to rev match every shift unless you shift like lightning every time.
Does that make sense?

Very much so. That means the the short shifter should help a little bit then. Thanx for the explanation. I expect to have some major getting use to time after the clutch and flywheel gets installed... maybe I will take the 500 mile break in period drive to somewhere nice...
I have the 9.5 lb Fidanza on my 98 Legacy. It makes it EASIER to drive in all ways. One of the best mods ever, you'll be happy.
