Yeah, they'll fit, but if you want to maintain correct speedometer calibration you'll need to match your existing tire ratio/profile with the new one. :)

If you have a 98 outback, I believe you should already have 16" wheels. Almost all subaru's share a common wheel bolt pattern (5x100), the exceptions being the SVX, tribeca, and the 06 STi's, which have 5x114, and the really old subaru's (80's GL's and such) which some have 4 bolts instead of 5.
If you do indeed have 16" wheels, then your current tires can just be swapped straight across.
BTW, look around on here, www.nasioc.com (http://www.nasioc.com), and maybe even www.legacycentralbbs.org (http://www.legacycentralbbs.org) for a deal on used wheels. You could probably pick up an entire set of those wheels for $250-350.
Welcome to the site and happy modding!

There's a wheel/tire calculator around here. Check out the sticky at the top of this forum that has "Threads of Note" in its title, you should find it there.
My advice is to not buy from the link you posted, that'd be a ripoff. There are many GT owners that have upgraded rims and still have their stocks lying around that you could ask to sell you theirs.

i did,i just wanted to know what size i should put for the new rims. after putting in all the sizes of the old and new,it said that there will only be a wrong reading of 0.5%,which is not too bad, instead of 60mph i will actually be doing 59.7.
i can now safely look for new rims+tires,if anyone hears anything, let me knwo please
I wasn’t planning on buying the wheels from that site,i just wanted to show a picture
thanks for the help!

A 205/65-16 size 16 inch set up will be just a very tiny amount larger... maybe .07 % larger... offering you 5 LESS revolutions per mile (767 current Vs. 761 for this size 16" wheel).
[Edit: The 16" Legacy GT BBS style "Mesh" wheels are a bitch to keep clean, and in my personal opinion are not as sturdy as your current 15" rims. I have no specific proof to support my statements and others have bitched at me for saying that, but I do think that it is only fair to warn you. -- I have two sets of GT wheels, two sets of 15" Legacy L alloy wheels, and two sets of currently tyreless WRX wheels (that I am going to be painting), as well as one set of Prodrive 17" P7 "wagon wheels". Honestly the 15" alloy wheels are much lighter than the larger wheels.]
