I want to install my amp wiring kit and I don't feel like shelling out money to someone to do it. I drive a manual, otherwise I'd have sent my wire through the clutch hole. Other than that, how do I get through the firewall? Its driving me nuts!

Seeing as how you have a 5MT there is no "spare" grommet. If you look to the right of your ignitor you will find the grommet pictured below. It is for your speedo cable. This is where you would want to go in. Unless you want to drill a hole in your FW and install your own grommet then this is the way to go. Just route it along the firewall and along the inner fender to the battery. Hope this helps. You could use some wire loom if you wanted to keep it all looking super tidy. Be sure to wire tie it to things (non-electrical) so that it stays in place. Avoid placing it on or near other electrical devices as they may cause interference.

Yeah there is a grommet between the center of the car and the driver side, search for it enough and you'd find it, I'll try to get some pictures tomorrow that you could use in the DIY. Only thing is I had to cut the grommet to make the opening a little larger to fit the 4gauge wire through it, but I had trouble fitting it back in and ended up losing it. Either way, glad to hear you worked it out, can't wait for the write up.

If you're interested in this, I solved the problem, and I did a writeup in the DIY section....WARNING, NOT 56K FRIENDLY! But very informative and easy.

i have a second Gen and i am running neon and i could not find a hole through my fire wall so i ran the wire over the driveshft (there is a cover over it) and under the passenger back seat there should be a little black rubber plug lookin thing with 2 wires taped together going through it you can pop that out with a flat head and there its ur entry to the car and i have been runnign my neons for some time now and hte wire has never caused any problems.
