Since my fog lights kinda resemble the s401, i figure I can make my car completely resemble the s401.

good luck!
S401 parts are impossible to come across in Japan where the car originated let alone in the US. To get the parts in Japan, you have to prove that you own a S401 and that the part you need is damaged... Of course there are ways around this, but the parts are extremely rare and very expensive should you find anything. Not to mention that most (all?) are Revision D cars which means you need a full front clip to make the cosmetic swap and have it look decent.

I don't think he meant he wanted an exact S401 revision, but the hood scoop, wheels, etc to make it look similar.
badbasser98
10-10-2006, 01:26 PM
the hood scoop is hard to find as well. I had a bead on one at one point, but I am sure that has disappeared since it has taken half a year to get my hood damage claim settled
and the price was scarey

Right as usual Mark.
There's just no way im going to spend $800 on s401 used headlights to start and forget about that engine.

Are you going to repaint it? That would be awesome if you did, and matched it as close to the S401
SilentRacer

What you dont like green?
Anything possible I suppose, lets see how many similar body parts I can find that will require painting. The other problem is that this car is parked outside in between other cars. Finding new scratches on my bumper every week isn't fun :smt012

This is why a house with a garage is a good investment. ;)
House first, car 2nd. :D

Actually no, Huffer is right. I take the train to work (midtown manhattan). The car is parked on the street infront of my building.

What are your plans for suspension? The new wheels look great - MUCH better than the stock ones. Now, I can handle seeing the car in a video (without the seasickness cam though!)
SilentRacer
12-11-2006, 12:41 AM
No suspension mods to far which shouldn't be a problem for the wheels at stock height. My next concern is probably going to be the sound system because its really awful.

My first mod would be some weight reduction.

All I said was paint them, not take them off.
Everyone in any city has the same problem, I get it.
SilentRacer
07-15-2007, 04:05 PM
They only sell these in black, and i kinda think they match the other black parts of the car. Its also a rubber flex part so if i paint them that paint is likely to crack.

JDM B4 Steering Wheel.....with a hole cut for cruise control

B4 Rebadging......BTW The logo has pins that fit directly in the holes left behind by the legacy logo.

The solution is so obvious. You need black mini bumper protectors on your gold B4 model! Then, you can just say "well, the MODEL has them...". I think they look alright on the dark car anyway.

No one knows what this car is suppose to look like anyway, most people can't tell its not a stock part.....and I have big plans for that little model...full my car replica.

some unique mods man, keep up the good work.
Any clue where I can get just the center piece for the steering wheel? The Baja Turbo came with the Momo wheel, but the lame RS center piece that's just black.

finally you can hear your car
And so can others  ......well not so much, its quiet for the first 2500 RPM but at 3k it roars to life.
DeadlyDave - The center piece is part of the airbag so you can't get them separate. A JDM airbag can't fit a USDM steering wheel correctly. You would have to either paint your center piece or buy a JDM steering wheel.

Seriously? I thought it was just a cap. Damn, this sucks ass :-( . Thanks for the heads up though.
I think I'll try to find just a small momo emblem and try to find a way to attach it to the wheel above the 'subaru'.
