if you headlights are not set up for HID and you convert them would the plastic of your headlight possibly melt?

dont HID lights burn cooler than halogens though? or am i retarded on this one?

i could see melting the wires if they arent switched with thicker ones.

HIDs only consume 35watts! They last longer and yes, burn hell of a lot cooler.. it's like a hydrogen flame.. it's brighter, whiter and burns hotter than the sun but it's cool to touch!

It won't melt your assembly, but I don't think you will be extemely happy with the results. I had talked with a few people that have done the conversion and said it ends up just being a "bling factor" since the light output was about the same as stock if not a little worse... :-?

I think visibility is better. I did headlights + fogs. However, I don't think it is worth the full money for both....

However, now I have 2 sets of HID kits for when I get my STI. One for high beam / one for low.

Overall, HID upgrade with stock housings on the legacy FTL
