What else can anyone reccommend? I'm looking for more torque, mostly. I don't care about going fast so much as getting up to speed faster.

that's probably going to cause more problems than torque.

electric superchargers aren't very useful and i think they're a waste of money. they can only push 1-3 psi. they're also turned off until needed because you can't have the electric motor in them running all the time due to wearing out quickly.

i know of a guy that has a Mercedes SLK supercharger on his EJ. Also an Eaton M-90 (t-bird supercoupe) blower would work plus they are sold for cheap on ebay all the time.

Don't lightweight flywheels help the motor spool up quicker? It'd be more robust, but I don't know about cost.

$$$$$=money out of pocket for a flywheel. It'll be something to consider though.

IF you want to try it before you buy it just take your moms hair dryer and out it inline with your intake tube and wire up an inverter.....let me know how it goes.

I have seen the MB SC'ed legacy on other threads. From what the owner says it does very well.

This is the only site I have found so far that offers a real supercharger kit for the Subaru. Get ready for some sticker shock though.

The guy referred to up above is known as 'Douglas Vincent' , his name is just that. He's on LCO, NASIOC, and probably USMB. He's put a considerable amount of time, effort, and monkey business to push at best, 10psi of pulley-driven boost, which hasn't proven all that reliable, though we rarely get updates from him on this at LCO.
He does have a kit offered. I'd track him down for more info. He's located near Portland, OR.
