Hi peeps,

Never owned a subaru legacy or any subaru's actually. i currently own an Audi S4. beuatiful machine but getting bored now.

I have seen a subaru legacy for sale near where i live (in uk!) and cant get to drive it until the weekend.

first i'd just like some ideas on the engine and performance i can expect from this machine.

The car is advertised as a LEGACY 2.5 GX SPORTS (STi SPEC)

Would this be a turbo'd motor or not? Been trying to read about the legacy on the net tonight and not alot of info coming back. the car has an SLi sticker on the rear. Does this indicate anything? higher spec? I appreciate that it may of been added to the car as the car certainly isnt stock. full custom s/s exhaust and modified air intake system fitted. possibly bodykit and the spoiler is too i think?

Any light on this models performance would be greatly appreciated.

4WD???

Want something similar in performance or better, than my Audi S4.

That's Trekyek's car... he's a member here! I love that car :grin: The SLi sticker is a sticker he got from this forum.. SLi = Subaru Legacy International.

I don't think that has a turbo. and it should be AWD.

Front lip and spoiler were added.

I cannot shed any light on performance over a S4 as I have never driven an S4...

Had a look at his car domain and its only 164Bhp.

My Stock S4 has 270Bhp.

Looks like its going to be a GT / B4 BRSK model (or which ever one is the sedan version with twin turbo)

STi beats S4 in performance. My two friends both have stock + race them every couple months and the STi always commands a solid win... can't speak for the Legacy but I'm sure with a little work you would have a streamlined butterfly :wink:

You don't want the twin turbo option. They don't hold up to power mods very well, and the lag between turbos can be annoying for people looking for linear power.

Agreed with huffer. If you're into modding, single turbo is the way to go.

Oh, and the 3rd gen Legacy is heavy (although not compared to the Audi), you might want to consider a 2nd generation Legacy.
