Based on the numbers of people buying and installing projector lights, I wondered how people planned to protect them from ending up just like your crappy USDM lights, which are usually pitted and dented.

I saw in Suby Solutions catalog that they have light protection film, and they have applications for all Legacy years:

Headlight Protection
from XPel

Cracked and broken headlight lenses can be costly to replace. Help prevent impact damage from flying debris with StonGard headlight protection. They install over existing headlight lenses and are precision cut to fit each application. Kits even come with protectors for fog lamps! The material used is 40 mil-thick 3M transparent adhesive impact vinyl. Once installed, the material is invisible to the naked eye and provides superior impact protection.

WARNING: when running high output bubs, there could be a risk of heat stress cracking the lens if the lens temperature exceeds 200°F. We have tested the covers with the high output bulbs we sell with good results.

you can buy rockblocker in bulk and cut it out

I don't think it's all that expensive either.

I got a phone number for a product that Mr. choung has.

seen alot of these in Iceland. (plastic shields)

the warning: These headlight shields are intended for show and off-road
use only. Check local laws before installing.

BD part # : XLC 1824 SUBARU LEGACY (LH) (RH)

hope Mr. choung doesn't care that I posted that.

I'd rather have rockblocker. It seems like that plastic would hurt headlight performance somewhat.

Its just another option, for those who would maybe want them.

I would rock those instead of rockblocker - I had some on my old Civic, worked great!

Those would be good if you wanted to have tinted headlights for a car show of something, being that you could remove them when your on the road or at night.

You could even use some RC car paint and spray them from the inside with a candy color or something transparent to match your body color. I think they are pretty cool, and I can't see them diminishing light output that much, considering how thick the glass/plastic on the lenses are themselves.
