Hello, :smt039 welcome to SLi...you will learn many valuable things here, with wise and knowledgeable members spouting their verbal and pictoral wisdom with love and happiness.

IMHO One of my bits of wisdom is when you get in the snow and start rippin around in a parking lot somewhere...don't crank your wheel over too tight and let your tires spin like mad...that puts a lot of stress on your cv joints. That is a more common replacement on fwd and awd cars. It takes a little while to wear but you know when they go cause there's a nice clunking sound from the front end when you drive. If the boots are split and you lose your grease, cv joints aren't long behind.

Have fun with it and show us some pictures!

No LSD to speak of, and rear swaybars from outbacks will bolt up - they are a slight improvement over stock - you can also fit Whiteline equipment.

Theyre definitly more than a slight improvement over stock

If you have a non-GT, they are. You'd be going from 12mm to 18mm.

On a GT it's more slight, only 15-18.

Welcome to the site!

xturfoz, all 95s have the 12mm swaybar, I was well aware of the fact that you drive one, I was just settling the diagreement between Sha_Zapple and Huffer by pointing out the fact that it's less of an improvment for Huffer because he owns a GT and Sha_Zapple only had an L swaybar.

Welcome to the 95 Legacy club as well, hottest club on SLi ;)

so my L model would be the dohc 2.2L motor than right? just wondering cause i went to buy a oil filter and they had the options of the sohc and dohc, so i wasn't sure and i didn't buy the filter. :|

uhhhhh...

Well, the EJ22 is SOHC, there never was a DOHC.

But it shouldn't matter, the filters are all the same as far as I know. Fram # 3593A. I wouldn't buy a fram, but you can compare that number to the other brands. And you need 4.6quarts of oil.

Yeah, all the oil filters are the same, and you can even use 97 Honda Odyssey filters also. AC Delco recently changed their part numbers.

I use Bosch 3310 if I have run out of Subaru ones. They have the best manufacturing quality of all the aftermarket brands, bar NAPA Gold.

Actually, from 97-2005 (and probably 2006+) the Odyssey oil filters were the same. It's kinda nice when you have an Odyssey and a Legacy and you're oil filter shopping.

welcome! '95 rox! There are a boatload of ghetto suspension mods you can do to a legacy with parts from other subarus.
