Hi, I'm JD, and I used to own a DSM (1994 Eagle Talon ES) and it was an awesome car. It had come to its end with 300,000km and many many repairs that needed to be done. I was looking at Volvo S70's until I came across this Legacy for $10,000 CAD (tax in). 1999 LGT, 120,000km 5 Speed.

It had power everything (even heated mirrors) and I fell in love. It was my favourite colour, 4 door because I was sick of a 2 door sports car with no functionality. Anyhow, I told myself I wasn't going to mod it until I found this website and many others all dedicated to modding the shit out of your car and I succumbed :oops:

I named my car "Marv" after Marvin the Martian because he's green and my favourite cousin gave me a teddy bear of him as a gift. :cool:

They are Alpine SPR-17LS, I had to make a wooden bracket about an 1" and I had to shave about 1/4" of the metal window stopper so it would clear the magnet of the woofer

What kind of paint did you use on your front grill? I can't keep mine black, it chips off very quickly from road debri and car washes.

Mine too!! But, there's this stuff made by "Wurth" thats called Trim Paint.. this stuff is amazing, my friend used it to paint that black plastic panel underneath the wipers and it does NOT come off.. I have to repaint mine but I'm going to wait until after winter.

It's not hard at all man, you really can't mess it up either because you can always fix your mistake.. it just takes a while and a lot of patience but as soon as you get the hang of it, you can make and fix almost anything.

My next project is going to be a GPS and I'm going to make a molding above the centre vents and have it apart of the whole trim :cool:

that stuff is great, i used it at the dealership on used car wiper arms and stuff like that. always left a nice finish.

I used trim paint on my door bumpers. It is a very durable finish. But it has a texture to it, and it isn't quite as dark black as I'd like on the grill. I may have to bit the bullet and just do it that way though. Or maybe use it as a base coat?

I think you maybe using a different kind.. the stuff I saw was a satin finish and deep rich black
