Really wondering has anyone ever put a subaru motor into somthing non subaru? or Vice versa.... also im thinking of Swapping my wife for a EJ22T lol

VW Beetle, VW Bus.

I've seen a Bus with an EJ22. It was actually decently quick!

They put a Nissan SR20 into a muscle car in F&TF:TD! :lol:

They put Subaru engines into boats and dune buggies all the time...
STI ATV...

The VW Vanagon is a popular chassis for the earlier EJ22T's...

There are a few aftermarket companies that make kits to swap WRX and STi crate engines into VW's.

They also use the EJ25 in Bi-planes or Cessnas :lol:

And they also put them in porsche 914s. For subaru to subaru swaps, and info on motor options, read the sticky. For other kinds of swaps, check the swaps forum on nasioc.

I was looking in a subisport mag the other day and i saw a RX-7 with a WRX swap. I bet that it was one of the best sounding RX-7s around .:smt045

actually, that was a misprint. Those were two different cars. We did a story on a 914 with an WRX engine in it. Renegade Hybrids is the company, they used to put V8s in old Porsches, now they use turbo Subaru motors.

I spoke to a guy who got one of the first kits from them for the 914 wrx swap. Its pretty sweet, something I may consider down the road.
