Hey guys. I looked around the stickys, but couldn't confirm whether the eBay GR2's are what I need for my '03 Legacy. As the eBay ad reads:

Brand: KYB GR-2
Part Number: GR2_1121
Condition: NEW
Notes: [2] 334273-334274 FRONT STRUTS, [2] 341275 REAR SHOCKS

On the ad, it says both '1999-2004' and '2000-2002'. I've emailed the seller, but I just want to verify with you guys if they are the right ones. Thanks!

I checked that out.....but the PDF catalog didn't really make any sense (t0 me at least). Just hoping someone has bought these off of eBay before.

Yeah, those are the correct ones for your car. I just checked the part numbers on my GR-2 boxes and they matched up exactly.

One last thing, fellas - did the shock/strut set up change at during the course of the BEs tenure?

Thanks.

hey, I have a new set and I'll sell them cheaper than the ebay seller. I also have impreza spring seats in case you are using aftermarket springs. PM me if interested!

I've done a bunch of BE suspension research and am nearly certain that all BE's share the same strut/spring design.

cheers!

Hey guys. Another question. The guys at KYB said that there was a design change in the front struts for 2003. Can anyone verify this?

I've never heard of that at all.

After some research, jeff found that there was a part number update, and as I suspected, and that the design wasn't changed. This is also reflected in the new KYB catalog. Enjoy the struts!

Hahaha, yes I did my homework. Thanks to ten80 for being such a kick-ass seller!

I called KYB one day, and got a dude who could barely give me the time of day. Told me that "KYB doesn't just change model numbers for the heck of it," and I best go to Autozone get reemed up the ass on price.

Call back two days later, get a lovely young gal who tells me, "Ohh, they just change model numbers at random, you're fine." Thank you, Miss Sunshine.

So for all you BE owners, go nuts!
