So I finally finished my head gasket/timing belt project that ended up taking a whole month (lots of little things went wrong - broken bolts, etc...). I fired it up and it idles and revs just fine, but when I took it for a drive I heard a brief loud clicking noise as the transmission (4EAT) shifted 1-2 going up a hill. It sounded kind of like an impact wrench, and very brief 5-10 clicks. All of the other shifts were normal, but when I reached the top of the hill and let off the gas there was another clicking, but longer this time, a few seconds. It happened a few more times, but after about 3 miles it seemed to stop.
I don't know a lot about transmissions and such, but could that be something with the torque converter?
