Getting car back from garage soon... need detailing advice

Ok, so the engine replacement on my car is almost complete, and I'm going to be getting my car back hopefully on Friday.

The interior of the car is actually in surprisingly good condition for an 8-year-old car, and I'm thinking that I want to stay on top of restoring and maintaining good finishes on materials and keeping things nice, rolled up, and well together.

I know I want to take apart my center console because I want to take a look at my tape player. When I take the pieces off (fake wood trim, plastic material around shifter, shifter itself, etc.), what cleaning products should I use? I mean, I figure stuff like armor-all and meguiar's is nice stuff, but I really need instruction on detailing my interior in general.

I just use soapy water, a toothbrush, and a sponge to clean my interior. I dont really like that greasy look.

Make sure to have vacuum handy, as theres probably lots of junk inside the center console.

I do use a lot of febreeze on the seats and carpet. I also close all the doors and windows and spray lysol through the ventilation system. The intake is at the bottom of the windshield. Turn the fan on and switch it to different modes to make sure you get everything.

Goo gone is good also.

Sometimes, with really grossly tainted parts, I'll use a dilute of Simple Green and hot water, and soak plastic parts.
