Hey guys,

The rear wheel wells on my BD GT leggie are seriously worn - there is some wheel well sheetmetal there, but a significant chunk of it has broken off). Can I bolt on or weld on sheetmetal to complete the wheel well shape again, or are there one or two-piece kits or parts that exist for the legacy wheel wells?

Are there any other materials I can consider using instead of sheetmetal to cover up the missing portions?

When I get the car back I can put up pics of the affected wells to show.

p.s. I know I went offroading in August - parked my car in a grassy field that got muddy with that weekend rain. I might have hit hard patches or maybe even rocks that tore some of the well metal off.

Are you talking about the inner portion? As in, the same piece that is plastic fender liner on the front, but only sheet metal on the back?

Short answer: You can weld anything. Clean it well enough and ensure that there are no fuel/electrical lines nearby and go to town.

Sorry it took me so long to post... both pics are of the LEFT REAR tire wheel well. (Right rear tire wheel well is in similar condition.)
