Removing molding from wheel well exterior

I have a green GT legacy that has molding attached to its wheel well exterior. Anyone have any tips for being able to remove the rubber (or rubber-like) molding? I'm probably thinking of getting goo-gone (or another orange-based sticky remover) to get rid of them.

I'd like to get rid of the molding to make the car look nicer overall.

You mean that black strip along the front of the rear wheel well?

+1 That's there to protect the paint from road debris. Its helping to prevent rust, etc. Color match it!!!1

Here's a couple pics of it. I had to remove it when I stepped up to 225/45/17's on lowered springs with -1.5 camber. The tires will rub the crap out of that trim and it's actually got some steel reinforcement in there so you got to watch it. I ended up removing it then rolling the fenders twice to gain enough clearance... :cool:

Sorry for the delay... here is a pic of what I'm talking about. The molding I'm inquiring about is that black thing that outlines the wheel well.

How do you make these stick if they start to get loose (i.e. losing their stickyness at the ends)?

Thats the first I've ever seen any of that rubber trim in a wheel well. Probably not OEM, though I am not sure how it is stuck on.

its on my car. Mine just slides over the lipand can easily be pulled off by hand. I clean it out every once and a while, but its there to protect the metal from debris and such.
