As far as I understand...which may only be 2inches.... you pay an annual fee, and in return, get pretty sweet discounts. I know you have to show your car a couple times a year, but this requirement is easily satisfied by SCCA - type autocross events, or if you prefer not to race, any show car style event.

Let's say the annual fee is $100....and you get a 30% discount on items from co's like Greddy, Turbo XS, Perrin, HKs, etc, etc.....You buy a muffler, wheels, or anything else that's ridiculously overpriced in motorsports and you've saved yourself enough $$$ to cover the fee. Sounds good to me.

Something I'm missing?

I spent 20 mins on the phone with someone from one of these organizations trying to get all the info possible and it sounds like a good plan. There are limitations on how much you can buy, but certainly enough to satisfy ANYONE wanting to sweeten their ride.

If I was planning a series of mods I'd be all over this. Unfortunately, I'm not monetarily gifted (wtf?) so I'm not doing more than install a short throw and maybe a rear sway in the next couple months.

Anyway, call the # and talk to someone. Get some details. It's kinda like a costco membership. sorta....

meh. The companies they deal with arent worth a crap in my mind anyways. I spent 70 bucks, and beyond a set of tires, never used any of the discounts. As I said, this was a while ago though, I don't know if theyve partnered up with any reputable companies by now to make it worth your while. I'd personally say skip it, and try to find a local shop to sponsor you so you can get parts at cost.
