Im looking for new white (HID) lights for my car. Its a 2004 OB, so, im guessing its the same set up as the Legs. I know my low beam is a H1, not real sure on the high beam. I have been looking at these http://cgi.ebay.com/XD5-5800K-H1-Xenon-Krypton-Quartz-Whitest-Bulbs-100W_W0QQitemZ150055198416QQihZ005QQcategoryZ36476QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem My dad has them in his Acura MDX, and they look as real as the HID's in my moms Acura RL. I dont know, there pretty cheap, so, im a little hung up on it. You guys have any good idea's other than PIAA's? They have popped every time i have tryed them in my car, just bad stuff i think, and way too much to pay.
Thanks!

First of all those are not HIDs, and second of all they are not even decent xenons. This is an HID and they require ballasts and cost over $200. If you want decent HID colored bulbs that last shell out $30 and get eather phillips or silvania hyper white bulbs.

I know they are not HID's. Im looking for a headlight that looks like them. All the SilverStars that I have seen are just yellow, thats what I have in my car. I dont know, we had a set of these bulbs laying around that fit the foglights and i have siver stars in the low beams, ill snap some pics and put them up.

Most of those "white" bulbs get their color through use of a blue tint on the bulb. That tint actually makes the light a lot less usable. I drive a lot in the dark, and my sight is very important to me. I don't think I'd be sacraficing usable light just to make my car look good.

i guess i understand what your saying. My sight is important too, but, i live in the middle of town, street lights and all that jazz. I guess i just like the look of them more, but your right, saftey is more of an issue then the wow factor. Do they make the SilvaniaHyper Whites in H1's? What size bulb do i need for the high beams?

Hey Perdue, what did you put in the projectors on my lights when you were running them? They're very very white, and I like the visibility.

Those are Hella Optilux XP bulbs. They also have a coating, but it appeared much lighter than that of the Sylvania Silverstars (I'm assuming Hyper Whites are most likely the "tuner version" of those bulbs). I'd recommend them over any other bulb in that price range anyday.

so the Hella Optilux XP's are some of the best you would say? What size do i need for the high beams, since, i have a high beam and low beam?

Look in the threads of note. There is a master bulb listing there.

Philips hyper white, had them for 1 year and counting. These are low beams.

You're going to want H3's for the highs, and yes I know it's the same for fogs too.
