Roof Rack install questions.

So I have a 1998 Wagon that I wanted to install an OEM roof rack into. What is the feasability of this? Any possible issues? Have I missed a thread pertaining to this?

Feasability? It's definitely possible. but you're going to have to drill holes, remove the headliner for the bolts, make sure you seal the holes so you don't get water inside...it can be a tricky business.

Personally, I'm very very hesitant to do any drilling into the body anywhere but if you feel you're up to it, go for it.

How many holes are we talking? Where should I be looking for manuals on this sort of thing?

Unless your opposed to the aesthetics, I'd use a Yakima or Thule rack. No holes so you can't screw anything up. They're super secure too. The only downside might be the price (how much is the oem rack?). A whole yakima/thule system will be mid $200's.

Oh, Yakima has permanant mount systems too, tack on another $120 or so.
