hi guys,

im thinking about painting my grill, most likely to match the black on the bumper. what do you guys think? (yeah i know, i suck with photoshop) what would be the best way to go about doiing this, like what kind of paint would give me the best, or closest look to the bumper, the black part around the fogs?

im also thinking about doing the molding around the hoodscoop... anyideas on that?

Nooooo!!! Colormatched to the slate metallic is awesome!

I'd even be willing to trade grilles with you to get this grille, as I'm still in the hunt for an OB bumper.

I have a JDM one (no logo) that's listed on eBay frequently.

Looks like that, I painted it a Satin black.

Don't do either. Grill paint is actually kind of hard to apply and have it last (its getting constantly bombarded with road debris).

The hood scoop would look cheesey and I think you'd be less than thrilled with the results.

HOWEVER: it's real simple to darken the bump panels on the sides of the car, and your wiper arms as well (if those have faded). I did both and they definately freshened the look of the car. I used duplicolor bumper coat painting. Its a dull satin finish black that is extra durable and would definately match your bumper (and if it doesn't you could always spruce that up too!

you should send the hood scoop insert to Speed Architect over on nasioc, and have it wrapped in Carbon Fiber. I've always wanted to see how it looked ;)

Don't match it to the silver, match it to the red. It flows from the hood really nicely.
