Hallo!

Name: Aken
Sex: Male
Age: 21
Race: Whitey
Car: 2000 Legacy GT LTD
Live: Currently moving from Bay Area, CA back to WI.

A bit more detail about the car: I've owned in for just over three years now. Car has been fantastic to me, aside from some standard replacement stuff - had to do the friggin headgasket already, though! Oh well. It was under warranty.

Aside from that, I have to admit that I am a mostly-show type of guy. I'm not hardcore into going fast, especially since I have a sportbike to satisfy that need for speed. I also believe that since my car is a daily driver, and will be for a while, I should keep it as practical as possible. So I've concentrated more on comfort and things I like daily than show and go-fast.

With that said, here are some photos!

New shift knob (interior has been hardcore cleaned since this photo):

Old red painted stockers (still own, will use as winter wheels eventually):

Now, I have to explain that I have a 12" subwoofer box setup in my backseat. Surprisingly enough, I STILL don't have any up-to-date photos of it. I will fix that in the near future, I promise.

Warning: the following photos contain neon and LED lighting. Like it or not, it's my car. I've heard every negative thing that can be said about lighting, so any hateful comments will simply be ignored. Thank you! :D

Welcome back to Wisconsin dude

I was wondering why it said Racine. (of course, you could've picked a better city than Racine to live in ;))

What is the CF switch panel for... the lights I'm assuming?

I like the new wheels, with a slight drop it would look nice.

holy crap, that this is lit up like a christmas tree!

I like the rims, but you should get some lowering springs next.

Clean car. I like it. What are those sticker on the mirrors that I keep seeing on all these cars? The weird face-lookin' thing.

The pig?

Petter Solberg has one on his mirror on the Impreza rally car.

Well, I'd imagine he's gonna take them off...otherwise he's not going to have much of it working after this winter.

Yeah... what is it? Is it some company logo or what? Just some dude decided to start selling random pig face stickers...?

I dunno exactly. It's been discussed on Nasioc, and of course there's 50,000 theories.

It's definitely significant to Solberg though.

Nonsense! Underbody kits last just fine through winter when installed properly. These bitches are staying on for snow pictures :D

Oh, and the pigs can be sourced on Ebay, or a quick Google search for "subaru WRC pig" should yield a few sites. I had mine made by my local vinyl duder, so if you really can't find any let me know - I can have him make 'em.

Thanks for the comments!

I love the super legarras on there! I remember your ride, but I never saw the night shots.

What kind of white paint did you use in the interior? I've been thinking about doing some of my accents white, since I will be painting my wheels white in the springs, but I'm worried about keeping the white paint clean. I used kitchen appliance enamel paint on my shift knob, and it is extremely resilient, and probably what I would use on my interior, but still worried about dirtiness/chipping/fading.

The pigs are actually a logo of some sort of japanese magazine.

Noobs... :)

The Pig is the logo of "Young Magazine" in Japan. Apparently Solberg is a fan, or they sponsored the WRC car a couple of times. The magazine is a tad risque.

Sorry for the long reply. Driving across the country + holidays + seeing friends and family again takes a lot of time. Plus I just got around to getting my computer all setup again. w00t, no more POS Emachine!

Anyway, the lights will be fine for winter. I've lived through Wisconsin winters all my life, and have three kits on through winters in the past, all came out great. I guess when you do this long enough, you know how to do it right!

Thanks for all the good comments again as well.

The white paint I used in the interior was the Krylon Fusion paint made for bonding to plastics. Figured it would stick the nicest being a plastic interior piece (I painted over the fake woodgrain which I couldn't stand). It did pretty well. I think I use a few too many coats, though, as it did pool in a couple areas. Just take your time and it'll come out well.
