So I finally got my sound system hooked up in my car. 2 polkmomo 12's, 2 1000 watt amps and a nasty kenwood head unit. of course its really loud. It sounds really good inside the car. but if you get out the light on the spoiler rattles like a mother. My legacy is a 99 BD and I was wondering if any one has any good suggestions to have this fixed. and how to get the spoiler off...Thanks

Unbolt spoiler, bondo hole and repaint. Fit Dynamat Xtreme.

dyno mat the drunk? Not sure if it will help. Or if you don't want to remove spoiler then take off and put something in between the trunk/spoiler to prevent rattle? or if you dont want spoiler then you could swap ... i think it will cost more to get it bondoed and repained.

If you don't want the spoiler, trunk swap for same color. Might not match up right though because of differences in sunlight exposure.

I'd just open up the light assembly like you would to change the bulb and figure out a way to maybe bolster the bulb a little better.

IIRC, most of the noise comes from the wiring to the high mount in the spoiler, not so much that the spoiler is vibrating where its mounted to the trunk. I have heard of people removing the spoiler and filling it with spray foam. This has drastically cut vibration noise from the spoiler but also makes it a lot heavier. So keep that in mind.

I had the same problem when I had a system. First thing get a strip of dynamat xtreme for you license plate (even with 4 bolts it will rattle). I took of the LED panel and sprayed dynamat dampener (didn't help much). If you dynamat the inside of the trunk lid it will quiet it a lot. If you put something between the spoiler and trunk you will be wasting your time.
