yeah, it's been a while. I'm graduating in december and have been SUPER busy getting my design portfolio ready and everything...havn't had a whole lot of time for the forums.

here's an update on the Green Machine:

it's over 2k miles overdue for an oilchange (though i have been adding quarts as needed.

If i try to put it in drive right after startup when cold it bogs down until i let off the gas.

i have slow leaks in 3 of the 4 tires.

My belts are shredded and starting to whine and squeal.

The CEL keeps coming on with a knock sensor code, then goes away for a week or 2 then comes back on.

Oil = no biggie, you can run for a good 5k miles on dino oil.

Tires = keep them inflated, and buy some thicker ones next time round

belts = c'mon, no excuse here! $15 and 20 minutes and you can have both changed out.

Good luck with wrapping everything up school wise, I know how much of a headache school can be (I've been spending way too much time on school projects...)

what do you mean by thicker ones??? i've got 205/75r15 trail marks on it!!

Another tire option:

Make sure the bead of the rim is good and clean as well as undamaged... The alloys can build up a bit of corrosion and lead to air leaks. Also if you have been rough with it some dirt may have got worked in there. PWT addressed the other issues :eek:

yeah, i know it't corrosion. i've been fighting that for a while. it's a matter of time and cash.

Tall tires doesn't necessarily mean thick. I know some tires have thicker carcasses. I am not familiar with those tires, but I know when I had Big O brand All terrain tires on my truck compared to BFGoodrich all terrains, I got 2 flats on the big O, and found embedded stuff in my BFG's with no flats.
