You can buy a US Baja Turbo hood and buy the S401 scoop from Japanparts.com
[EDIT] Note that the S401 is also a Revision D car, and many body parts will not swap over to a US car without doing a full Rev.D conversion. I was looking to get the scoop too, but its crazy money just for that scoop (assuming you can find one) Expect to pay $340 for a Baja Hood primered, and about $450 for the scoop (again, assuming you can find one. They are rare even in Japan) then both parts would need paint... Its not going to be cheap. This is also assuming that the S401 hood is the same as the standard BE Turbo cars, ie not having a larger scoop opening through the hood, etc.
BTW, welcome to SLi

I think baja hood is the way to go.

What year Baja turbo hood will fit a 2000 Legacy GT?

Any Baja is the same as a BE/BH Legacy.

yep. I don't know whether that scoop will fit, and as was said, you'll definitely pay a premium for it. I'd just stick with a baja turbo hood.

no sir.. they were changed slightly in 05..
Get a 2003-2004 to be safe. I'll edit this post to get you a part number...
[EDIT]
PN: 57220AE01A ~$340 MSRP
99.9% sure that's the number. You will want to double check with a dealer. It will actually be listed in the Legacy section of their part book/software if its the right one.
You will also need the scoop insert.

Baja hood already has a scoop, right?

No, if you buy the hood new, I think you need to buy the Baja scoop as well. If you were to get the hood off a Baja, then it'd already have the scoop, of course.

So a new Baja hood is sold seperately from it's scoop?

Is there a non-subaru aftermarket hood that anyone knows of? Perhaps carbon fiber? I have seen some but that have 2 hood scoops and i'm not crazy about that one.

I had bought a CF hood for my Legacy.. The fitment was terrible. Not to mention that is was molded for a Rev.D car and would not fit a US car properly without major modification.
The CF hood with extraction vent and smaller scoop is the only one available in the states, its made by Erebuni Corp. Your only other option is to get one from Japan. They are not worth the effort since they run $900+ not including over seas shipping... Should you want to get something from overseas, make sure you do your homework and only get one that says its for a Rev.A-C car or else it will not fit yours.
Your best bet is to get the Baja Turbo hood and go from there... trust me, I've went through all the other and after a ton of money was spent on garbage products and wasted time, it was cheaper to buy the Baja hood and I know it will fit without issue...

The hood has the hole in it for the scoop. You need to purchase the scoop insert for it separately. I gave both part numbers above.

There's the erebuni CF hood. There's a pic of a BE with one installed, but it has two scoops.

Because that's his stock hood. He just got the scoop and set it on there.

Oh. Looks bad-ass.
For those interested, there's a great deal of cool stuff for the BE/BH chassis here: http://www.japanparts.com/db/category.php?dealer=1&car=8 Lots of cool JDM hoods and body kits.

Rare...until you hit your JDM lip on a high curb or crack your JDM bumper from a runaway cart...
You can tell I'm not really a fan of aesthetic mods lol

I'm not really into body kits either, unless it's subtle and looks like it came that way from the factory. I'm also somewhat of a JDM geek.
