Anybody have one? I'm thinking of getting this one.

I know a few places will read the codes for free, but since my car isn't on the road yet I thought I could figure out the CEL myself.

I've got an Equus 3100 from this site last winter.

works great!! Has plenty of good reviews too. They are handy, esp if you feel lazy and don't want to drive to one of those 'free' places.

Hmm. That looks pretty good. I like the CEL rest feature on that one. It doesn't look like the Harbor Freight reader can do anything but read the codes. Also after looking for the one you listed on ebay( for some reason I always have to look there too) Someone listing the HF readers says it "may not read coeds from some imports" including Subaru. I think I'll save myself the frustration and shop for the lowest price on the one you have.

Hey, mine is a 95, so what kind of code reader does it need? It has a computer plug in, I believe, under the steering wheel, to the left, sorta by the hood release.

pop the hood and read the stickers on the engine side of the hood. it should have an emission sticker. it should also say OBD2, as I've found that 95 Legacys are OBD2 equipped. If yours does say that (and it should) you can get the same one I posted and it should work.

sounds like its the same location as mine port.
