Probably a simple disconnected wire. If it's all of the locks it's not a mechanical problem in any of the actuators.

not a rocker switch like most have.. themanual just says that the tab in the handle on the driver door controls everything

That's all it is on any '95. Driver Actuated power door locks.

when you lock the car from the outside.. does it lock all the doors? Also, did the car come with a remote, or did those years not have the keyless remote?

I'm pretty sure keyless entry wasnt available in 95, I think it came around in 96 or 97

Thats because there were no remotes until 1997.

Nope, no remote keyless in the 95MY. In fact, you can't even just put in an aftermarket system because the driver's door has no lock actuator (as it's the only door that opens all the doors).

IIRC, on our 95 wagon, to lock all of the doors, you simply locked the driver's side door by pressing the actual lock itself, then it locked all of the other doors/rear hatch.

I wonder if Subaru ever made an addon keyless entry deal for it. I remember that there was a place to plug in an alarm system in our 1995 wagon...

I know it didn't come with keyelss entry in 1995, but did Subaru make a product in 1999 or 2000 that added that feature to older cars?

No, I'm telling you that you can't just add it onto the older cars unless you get an acuator and some internals installed inside the driver's side door.

Listen to Mark, he is quite wise for his age...

BTW, my 95 was the exact same way. Its just the way it is.
